We are proposing a multi-million pound investment in Aylesbury to regenerate three brownfield sites.
Our plans will provide increased main food shopping choice for local residents, create approximately 300 new job opportunities for local people and regenerate vacant sites in the town.
The plans include:
- Refurbishing our town centre store and redeveloping the surrounding area for new affordable homes and retirement properties.
- Developing a new, modern foodstore at the vacant Gatehouse site, on the corner of Bicester Road and Gatehouse Road alongside new affordable homes. We are also proposing a new petrol station.
What's happening now?
Aylesbury Vale District Council’s Strategic Development Control Committee unanimously resolved to approve our two store proposals in February 2014. We are currently waiting for planning permissions to be issued for these proposals.
We have now also submitted a further planning application for a new petrol station close to our Gatehouse store.
