To celebrate a great summer of sport we invited a selection of bloggers to our Summer Series sporting events, which have been held in various locations across the UK in partnership with British Athletics. We did this to give them and their families a chance to experience British Athletics up close and personal, embracing the legacy of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic games.
Here’s what they had to say about their Summer Series experience:
The Evans-Crittens family were excited for the chance to embrace the legacy of the Olympics and Paralympics after enjoying the games so much in 2012. You can read more about how excited they were.
They also had a great day out at the Swansea IPC Athletics European Championships, and got to meet Discus Dan!
Mum of 3 boys also attended The Swansea IPC Athletics European Championships and had a fab time.
BrummyMummyof2 had such a great time at the Birmingham Grand Prix she made this video:
She even embraced her deeply hidden sporty side and had lots of fun
Ellie from TheMummyDiary also attended the Birmingham Grand prix with her little ones and got to meet the ‘inspiring Christine Ohuruogu’
Claire Justine and her lovely family visited the Sainsbury’s Grand Prix in Birmingham for the first time as a family- you can see from the photos the boys seem quite pleased!
They even got a chance to meet Kim Collins and other atheletes too. By the end of the day everyone was quite tired but they were all inspired into doing a bit more running and athletics.
Red Peffer was super excited to get a chance to attend the Birmingham Grand Prix event… you might say she was jumping for joy! Her and her daughter had a lovely time and enjoyed meeting lots of inspirational athletes.
