Annual Report 2016
This month we launched our new by Sainsbury’s herb pastes in squeezy tubes and it seemed right that we asked our bloggers to give them a try. From lemon grass, to basil, ginger, coriander and even Harissa, our bloggers have been experimenting with these convenient squeezy tubes that are too good to be left at the back of the fridge.
Easy Harissa Chicken with Tabbouleh
Lucy uses a roasting bag to marinate and cook her chicken drumsticks to keep them juicy and mostly importantly to lock all that flavour in. And we think it helps on saving on the washing up too! Along with the tabbouleh, this is lovely summery recipe that you can alter the spice on depending your preference.
Brazilian Steak Salad with a Warm Tomato Salsa
The first England match of the world cup was the perfect excuse for Becky to use the ginger herb pastes to whip up a Brazilian feast! With a warm tomato salsa and sweet potato chips, we are sure this went down a treat (unlike the England game….)
Chicken Skewers Picnic Platter
Sisley loves a bit of a pick and mix platter. They are perfect for all sorts of different summer entertaining and it’s even better than people can just help themselves. She’s put together some harissa chicken and lemon grass chicken skewers along with a beautiful medley of salad, bread and dips to accompany them.
Harissa Topped Salmon
We love salmon but to be honest we’re a bit bored of the usual lemon and dill or teriyaki flavourings. So Britt’s idea for smothering a couple of salmon fillets in a Harissa and cream cheese marinade and baking them in the oven made our mouths water.
Spicy Marinades and BBQ Weather
Luckily Lisa managed to get to the post before Oscar the dog managed to nibble his way into the bag of herbs and spices so her and Dave decided to embrace the warm weather and have a barbecue. They whipped up Harrisa and ginger chicken wings and Chilli, ginger honey and soy marinated pork and plenty of barbecued vegetables.
