Sainsbury’s to introduce hundreds of new shopping trolleys developed with parents of disabled children
Sainsbury’s has responded to calls from parents with disabled children for a more secure shopping trolley and, after months of testing a prototype with parents and children, the retailer has today announced that they will begin introducing nearly 600 of the new trolleys to supermarket stores across the UK from 15 September.

Sainsbury’s opens first-ever combined pharmacy and convenience store at Guy’s Hospital
Sainsbury’s opens the first combined convenience shop and community pharmacy on a hospital site. The new store at Guy’s Hospital near London Bridge will employ 25 local people and offer improved choice, as well as a broad range of convenience goods for patients and visitors using the hospital. It will be open from 7am to 11pm, seven days a week.

Sainsbury's reveals the UK's real cooking age as curriculum changes put cooking back on the menu for kids
As a nation, our cooking age is falling short of our real age, and we are reaching it much later than we should, according to new research released today by Sainsbury’s. The research comes as the retailer announces plans to inspire a new generation of children to eat well through its Active Kids scheme – as practical cookery becomes compulsory for children up to Year 9 in England for the first time.
