Life expectancy in the UK is longer than ever, but the number of people with chronic illnesses looks set to rise and many of those illnesses are linked to lifestyle.

Nearly one in four adults and over one in ten children aged 2-10 are obese (Health Survey for England 2011). The reasons why people become overweight are complex, but we believe the solution lies in a balanced diet and active lifestyle. To achieve this, we'll continue to reduce salt, saturated fat, fat and sugar in our own brand products between now and 2020 and we will lead on providing clear nutritional information, enabling our customers to make informed choices.
